I am a filmmaker, community arts facilitator and bike guide. Since 2016, I have been based out of Havana, Cuba. I supported the development of a community initiative, Proyecto Akokán, in 2016 and expanded the initiative’s arts education programming as a 2017 Davis Projects for Peace Recipient. I also worked as a translator and editor for Cuba’s Prensa Latina News Agency for three years. I hope to continue facilitating community-rooted documentary projects that humanize socio-economic issues and empower transnational sustainability, cooperation, and solidarity. I received an MFA in Social Documentation at UC Santa Cruz in June 2023.
